I had a project today I needed access to the folder.jpg that various programs will make with a CD as the album art.

From the root of your music drive or from the root of your music folder the DOS command should be "attrib folder.jpg -h -s /s" this will search all your subfolders and remove the -hidded and -system attributes.

whew.

So long lost HellpGoodBye,we all remember the free LP they put out … 5 years ago. They finally got a full length. So far i have it one thumb up, mostly because every song is about relationships – come on guys that is so blink 182. anywhoo it still is poppy-punk-whatever. and I like it. dont get me wrong the lyrics are good, just reminds me of highschool. go buy or download it from bittorrent. You know I did one of the two and it didnt involve going to a store to buy it.

so i just got a new toy its a Roland SP-808 this is the new generation (well in 1998 it was) to the TR-808 “the original” adds things like a 4–track recorder, synth, effects you know the usual-s. It can go off some sweet jumps too. anyway i doubt i will do much with it other then have tons of crazy sound effects a button press away. but i surprised my self with how easy it was to make some loops and remix some music. i just did a remix with a britney spears song. next i need a table to cut and scratch some heavy tracks.

if you got here looking for nerdy news on them check out the roland808USers group on yahoo groups its full of good information. the EX update and a FTP with the OEM books, videos and ZIP drives.

i am running the EX OS on my 808 with the upgraded 250zip. its very sweet.

i was watching mtv today (two post about mtv in one day, lame) anyway i saw a video for hello goodbye (band) and i was like woah i know them. My good buddy Scott Culver directed a video for them. But its not the one on TV(click that link to up the rating on mtv please). so to officially give props to scott culver this link http://www.scottculver.com/ will get you to his site where you can watch what i feel is a better video then the one on mtv right now not only was scott the first  but he was better. so if your reading this and work at drive thru suggestion that you get scotts video up. its so much better then the bland blah blah that is up there now. all the same the band is cool even if d.t.r. didn't put the better video up. if you like pop-punk sounding stuff with some crazy keyboard (its good) listen. that was my plug for the day. hello goodbye the band is cool you can get free mp3 download if you look on any p2p network and the music video is in divix if you look on torrent sites. was that good for words to get scott culver attached to anything that is cool? yea i think so. your welcome Scott. I (heart) you.

Summary Scott Video good other MTV video not as good.

One of the searches that i get all the time is “THIS IS THE POLICE THIS CLUB IS CLOSED” its a old techno song from 1997 erra. There is a few versions of it I know, all of them are just rips of the popular clip of the time. so since I get searched on it like mad i will provide the two I know of.

ATB - Ravegadget – This is as far as I know a “original” no idea for sure but I dont think ATB remixes others work a lot.

Still Looking – There is another that was remixed with the “da dum da dum”

Now playing: ATB - Ravegadget

Ok so I am giving a small music review of a Band that I have always liked – Blood Hound Gang here is my professional review of the new CD. I am unhappy with the change they have taken. BHG has been hanging out with CKY (Bam Margera) too much. I dont like the goth-rock or whatever that CKY has and listening to the new BHG it reminds me of it too much. There is only about 4 tracks on the new CD that I feel live up to the older BHG stuff. They lost the fast rhymes for some of the tracks and there is just this weird rocking out that CKY has. I just hope that in the next CD they return to the funny fast rhyme music.

so a while back I posted about Mike Jones and how I dug the beats. Well I just discovered a new SwishaHouse story. Turns out that some dude Dj Screw  was notorious for spinnin cuts under the influence of purple syrup. The effects slow your bubbly ass down. Thus the chopped and screwed sound you can get on the Disc II of each of the Mike Jones and Paul Wall Cd’s. Dj Michael Watts was a ‘student’ of DjScrew and thusly has the sound you Hear today.

Where is this going you ask me? Well i just found Disc2 of each of the Cd’s I gotta say that I am now a hard core fan of the dirrrrttttyyyy south chopped and screwed sound. Keep it commin swisha even if you didn't get the rights to the .com!

Now playing: Paul Wall - Drive Slow (Feat. Kanye West)

just downloaded the new Daft Punk CD dont feel much about it. I mean you cant ever deny that Homework was the best cd this one is much like Discovery more of a sound from ‘robot rock’ or just crazy 808’s running beeps and boops. its still good, i mean i can listen to it and not get annoyed – actually about 3 tracks are rather catchy. there is one about technology that has a fun background vocal. over all i say buy it when it comes out if you own the others. but dont expect a Homework. I personaly like the other two more then this one. If your interested in Daft Punk get the Homework cd before you delv into electronica music with this one.

Edit: 2/6/05

After reviewing this cd for a length of time, i gotta say its growing on me. Daft Punk as a 2nd look is just as good as the rest. In a tie with discovery. The base on this CD is actually enough to pop breakers.

So about 3 weeks ago i got the killers  CD specifically for the track ‘Somebody Told Me’ KillersThen thanks to the XM radio over playing it like a crazy bastard i started to check out other tracks on the CD just this past weekend. ie ‘Mr. Brightside ‘  turns out that that track is sweet as well. However I am glad that i bought it at target for the low low price of 8.99 the day it came out. When i compare it to things like Frans ferd. i like that sound a lot better. This UK new (recycled) sound that is flooding all the music right now i’m not a terrible fan of but for the people who enjoy the 70’s punk of UK its not a bad cd. It reminds me a lot of cold play and sort of a branch of it. With trendy bands like snow patrol at its heals. dont look at me for definitive music opinion i just listen to channel 47 on XM and its where i hear the 11 bands that sound like one.

When its all said and done I jsut like the two tracks that i can hear on XM it would have saved me the $8 and i could just Download them.

gotta have the First Post

This is the new code for KellyKeeton.com/blog I chose to use the DasBlog asp.net source. with a work space here its nice easy setup just edit xml for the major options. I chose this because i wanted a ASP solution that would run on IIS and have no database back end. This was compared to .text which I didn't like as much.
