Microsoft released Service Pack 1 for Server 2003 yesterday, this one i am not going to be a eager beaver about. i figure i will wait at least 3 days untill i install the 350mb SP. You never know for a new OS to have its first SP it could also be a free ride for some bug. Download

Ok so now that i am back from vaca and sick i thought i would catch you up on some fun things other then Paris Hilton. While i was in LA we went to Vegas there was a storm there and it flooded the streets, a guy took a cup of the street water and was going to dump it on a girl. Being the nice guy that i am i intervened – i gave the guy a $5 chip to drink the nasty water. He did. I hope he isn't dead because of a $5 chip.

then Fernando got bit by a whore. yes thats a dirty word but she was prolly very dirty. and to say my friend got bit by a whore is sort of funny.

i walked up to a roulette table plopped down $10 and won 350 the dealer didn't see me place my bet and i had to “challenge” the win with security and the video cameras. 30 mins later i had my day in Vegas paid for.

somewhere in there the rental van got a cracked window. not sure why. however the picture of us using the van as a stool prolly didn't help it any.

went to six flags and it was a crappy day but it was awesome for visitors like me to six flags. Also we brushed Compton and saw a car with 20” i knew they were 20’s because it was printed on the car “20’s” – the van now has a broken side mirror, a garbage can jumped out at us while driving a legal and safe limit.

the visit to frisco was short – saw a lot of hippies. I want to visit this area again some day in more detail.

I forgot to turn my headlights on and was running with only fog lights. he didnt know who i was when i walked up then read the licence and was like hey nice beard. haha. i also got lucky cuz i was going 50 in a 40 when i passed him.

ok first this isnt a movie. Its a rich boy, who i didnt know was actually rich, since i haven't see him for a long time. But $imdb(Pauly Shore is Dead) what a crazy film i have never seen a autobiography like this. Also i have never seen so many famous people cameo in one movie before – he must know a lot of people. This is not a movie its like a special you see at 4am. IF you think of it like that then its a cool movie to see a lot of famous people goofing off. seriously the only thing about this movie that is great is that so many famous people are in it

i got this from netflix after watching $imdb(Mulholland Dr) it reccomended it. First i have to say KUDOS TO NETFLIX. $imdb(Donnie Darko) was simply awesome. I have nothign to say bad about it. Nothing – it was well done, actors were great, color and camera play was great. If you like Mullholand or $imdb(Butterfly Effect) you must watch this fillm. This is 5 stars, great great movie.

and who has the coolest movie web page ever? http://www.donniedarko.com and what if you cant figure any of the movie or web page out? (after watching the movie) i had a little different interpratation of the movie then the FAQ but thats why i love it. My only question i havent figured out yet is the backstory on and what the point of the English Teacher and Science Teacher is.

rating 5 star

I found out this week that i get to work another (minimum) of 7 weeks on the night shift. That makes me angry. I am not dooign well with this shift any more, i dont sleep and i dont do anything that makes me feel like i am helping the company any more. but i found a page today that makes me glad i dont work at wall-mart. Here is a link for employees to bitch about wallmart, so then i thought ha and looked for other pages like that –  UPS Drivers Bitching this didn't lighten my spirits reading how people pee in the filters for cars before installing them. Glad i dont shop there. UPS is a older crowd that complains and the funny part is the “driver” area where drivers complain, but some people complain about Dale Jarrett the UPS NASCAR driver its so awesome.

brings up a funny story about matt, he worked for the brown and he called me one day and said hey kelly listen to this i heard a “whomp” then a “thud” then matt saying “i jsut threw a package to deliver it” haha oh thats funny. bad, but funny. pet detective anyone?

plans for going to California are still in the works. my first vacation in a year, we are going to visit scott and matt in California – going to drive there. should be fun, going to have the video camera and digi camera so i’m sure we will have something crazy that i can post up.

i have also started today watching my financial records for the first time, trying to get a handle on what i waste money on to start saving up for buying a house.

hrm this looks like i need to fix something

oh yea WOOT WOOT back on top at google

ok so i got this movie because of the obvious’s The director from $imdb(Three Kings) and $imdb(Naomi Watts) and $imdb(Jason Schwartzman) i was sucked in. I had to watch it. Take the fun of three kings and put it into criterion films like movie. you get something like $imdb(I Heart Huckabees). I loved some of the set like the chalk board that was ingenious. I didnt like the goofy CGI they used. Just wasn't what i like to see in a movie today. The color was great and any scene with Naomi is sweet. There are jokes in the movie that are awesome, i also like that Jason and Mark have a few scenes where they just start eating licorice of different colors its great.

now for the cynical side of kelly that i like to whip out on all movies anymore. what i didnt like, first this movie didnt go anywhere it started just about as weird as it ended. i am going to ruin the story line but if you read the back of the box you wont see anything that isnt a surprise. This movie was basically (i felt) about why we are here, why we exist, why do i interact with you and why why why why.

I dont have that question, so for me this movie was mostly blah blah blah. It was funny but i cant say that it made me jump out of my seat. Essentially Jason is lost and needs help he turns to some people who have a answer in the mix of it all he figures things out for himself. Along the way they have a side character get into the love interest, but its so obscure that it makes no real movie connections. Then Jason has some rather oddly placed sex in the mud, i think it was to show that the answer was that love pulls people together. But what the hell in the mud? what was that. Then you have this antagonist who just mostly runs around making a mess of the plot lines.

This movie gets a 2.5 star, i didn't like it that much but there was a lot of fun mixed in with the weird.

real G’s use others peoples servers for storing shit. Enjay pointed this application out to me. I dont use G-Mail i dont like it. But if you use it then this is a cool tool.

What is it? If you have Gmail then you can install this application that will make a virtual “Hard disk” on your computer. Much like a memory stick on your digital camera, you can copy stuff to gmail then access it anywhere.

ok, lets start off this one with the good points. Good – $imdb(catwoman) has a very good glossy comic book feel to it. The color and camera look cool. and Halle Berry really looked good in the film and took on a very different look from Bond and X2.

thats where the good stuff ends. This movie sucked, the CGI was horrible the story was pathetic and there were more obvious continuity mistakes in this movie then i have seen in a while. then there are things like. All of the sudden halle is out side on a ledge chasing a cat, then some cop comes in busts down the door to save her then ends up at the office she works at to ask her on a date. This is like spiderman redone by an amateur. I cant say enough bad about this film the fight scenes look way too CGI and the whole feel of the movie is off. this movie gets a one star from me. I didnt shut it off but i would never watch it again.

so i was noticing that comments back to the blog were not getting emailed any more. People were commenting and getting a error message back from my web script. After checking the event log for the application i found that i was getting a CDO.Message error. After some googeling i found this site (included for some troubleshooting issues that are handy) and i eventually realised that my poor smtp relay box had up and died. So the issue was easy to fix. I jsut rerouted the smtp to my exchange server and not my crappy little utility server that was now dead.

Now this started a new issue, i have hotmail as my primary .com email for all issues related to this and other .coms. i noticed that i still was not getting any emails to my hotmail account from dasblog. so after some hacking on the smtp service to ensure that all routing would be allowed from the anon asp worker service

in fact the email from .net to hotmail delivery was instant, but i cant send any email to hotmail from my domain via OWA/Exchange. this was pissing me off. ok now what.  i broke down and sent a question up to experts-exchange google was no help at this point since there are a lot of keywords that were jsut giving me crap.

well all turns out that it was just hotmail that was blocking my domain. So adding it to the whitelist fixed it. Stupid hotmail.

it was a good weekend, you can always tell a good weekend if i dont have time to blog. Conor and Cheryl came into town and we hooked up with Corene  (C^3) and her two friends and went to the Gatsby’s American Dream Show @ Graceland (i refuse to call it el calzone) Nic is the lead singer and was the singer for our High School band THey are going on tour and dooin’ real good right now (congrats) we went out to dinner at the Seattle sushi land my review is that i like the bellevue one better, call it home town.

then we went to dicks a little later it was 2nd supper. then actually watech the show and then ended up at Horia’s house that he just bought. Its a nice place in Redmond. Saturday i had my car at Magnolia all day for the alarm install, i woke up late and got it there 2 hours later then i should have, after learning that you cant get a rental car from enterprise on Saturday i had to use powers to get one from Budget (they suck) but now my car has a great alarm and its all ready to rock. Stage one is Done!

Then conor and i had some fun with the rental car and i went shopping with horia for (his) first time for groceries. We hung out at his house for the night then went to John Normans out by my old Redmond Home and saw a lot of RHS kids, it was awesome. Sunday we had a neighbourhood BBQ and had everyone over. All in all this was a packed weekend – whew!

$imdb(surviving christmas) more like survive this movie, this was a $imdb(dicky Roberts) rip off with no twist. This movie was more a xerox copy of it then any copy i have ever seen. I dont know if it was the total of $1000 they spent on the scenery or the lack of a decent plot, several times i found my self actually fast forwarding past a part in the movie i totally guess was coming. ouch this review is as harsh as this movie. Gandolfini is cool but i dont like him out of sopranos roles. This movie sucked. It got a minus 1 star from me.

most of my free time is spent thinking or working on the car. today i got it back from the tinters, and also debadged the car (remove logos and names) as well as put a hood lock in that my bro cleverly thought up. I tried my hand at film tinting the rear taillight but quickly learned that its not easy and mostly messy. So the taillight tinting is going back to the drawing board for now. i did get some front marker lights on ebay that are smoke tinted so that takes care of at least the yellow light. That was all i really didn't like, at least red and black compliment.

I also am thinking of turning the stock rims black i really like the way the car is turning out on the outside. I am also going to stop though the body shop and see about painting the front grill thing black. then black and red will be the only color on the car.

Picture of Tint, Picture of Debadge (before), other pictures from today

I have a rental car until my window tinting is done, its a 2003 focus L. Its a nasty car people smoke in it. I took it for a ride and pulled the ebrake super hard spun all around and the transmission went in reverse on its self. Made a noise. – Ever wonder why they charge kids under 25 more for rentals? OH yea i suggest getting a focus as a rental and rallying it.

My old car is up for sale link is here (note that that is a mht file and only viewable with IE, it also works best to ‘save file to’ then open it on your local computer.) $4k more then they gave me for it haha.

I made a cd titled “the only thing good about this rental car is it has a cd player” and left it in the car on return.

in other unrelated news. I was looking up paris Hilton phone book that was all over on line, for some strange reason the FBI who must not have anything else better to do has officially shut down 99.9% of the hosting sites that had the content. i find it interesting that they have the power they have and its used to do what, shut down phone numbers. Even the prank call pages that were up last week are now dead, they wont even let us listen to the prank calls.
