Here's a little info about K7MHI

  • QTH:  FCC Database offically Snoqualmie WA, however I transmit about 17 miles away in Renton, WA

About Me:

Originally Licensed in 2001 I did some VEC work and upgraded to General in 2008 so that I could help with testing exams and move into HF. When I am not on the radio I work in the computer security world. (Firewalls, network architecture, data center physical security, vpn, penetration and auditing) other free time you will find me tinkering with everything, I have a '74 F250 that I love to keep running and a new house that is always needing yard work. I have asperations to learn to dive some day as well.

A neighbor of mine was big into boat anchor radios and lent me a TS-520S, as I struggled to figure out a tube radio I made a few phone contacts in the area and northwest, then figured out how to hook it up to the computer to run Digital modes (my real love) I'm not much of a talker but I can type all day. I really enjoy using Ham Radio Deluxe and DM780 to do all my work in.

I am also currently studying for my extra so that I can assist in the VEC for my local group...as well as just look smart HIHI.

I am very active in public service monitoring.
